Hello

I'm an artist and mom of two who first discovered painting during COVID. My work in florals and landscapes, in oils, pastels, and watercolor, reflects my belief that pursuing creativity and passion is essential at every stage of life.

My Story

I first discovered painting during the quiet days of COVID, beginning with watercolors as a way to find calm and connection. What started as a personal outlet quickly grew into something deeper—a sense of self I hadn’t realized I was missing.

I was born in Pocatello, Idaho, and later graduated from Florida State University with a master’s degree in social work. Much of my professional career was spent in child welfare, with a focus on adoptions, before I chose to stay home to raise my two amazing boys. Becoming a mother reshaped how I view creativity: painting became both a personal journey and a way to show my children that pursuing your dreams and passions is not only possible, but essential.

In 2021, I began studying at the Holt School of Fine Art, where I continue to grow as a student and artist. I am driven by a deep hunger to keep learning, exploring, and refining my craft. My work primarily centers on florals and landscapes, often inspired by the beauty I encounter in daily life and travel. I paint in oils, pastels, and watercolor, mediums that allow me to express both softness and vibrancy.

Art has always run through my family, and stepping into this practice feels like coming home. Each painting is not only a reflection of the world around me, but also a reminder—to myself, to my children, and to anyone who sees my work—that creativity is a vital part of who we are.
